Yesterday was Dad's "37th" birthday. It was a fine day except it certainly didn't start out that way. On the way to work while going 75 miles per hour on I-25 he hit a deer. The deer bounded out from the right side of the road right into the path of our beloved Mazda Tribute. One sad irony is we surprised Dad with that car on his "33rd" birthday. The best part is Dad is unscathed. The deer was in the lowest part of its bound and so just got splattered to smithereens instead of heading toward the windshield and Dad's ever active, smartest of smart brain and cutest of cute faces. They think the car is a total loss which is a pain but we're okay with that as it could have been SO much worse. We're just thankful all is well. Okay, the deer isn't thinking that right now... he is deh!
Right in the middle of this picture is a "souvenier" from the deer.
YUCK!!
Scene of the crime, that's Dad's car parts:(
The deer is nowhere to be found. He'd been deh for a while so it's okay with his family.
