Some more stuff

So let's see....after the first load of stuff went to Utah we came home and prepared for the great gathering for Mom and Dad's 60th anniversary. That is such a major milestone and it needed to be special and I think it was great so many of their posterity could gather.  We missed Hiatts cause they had brand new Truman and Perez cause it was Andy's white coat ceremony which is also a big deal.
Sadly, we didn't get too many pics but here's a few....
Our great emcee!

The guests of honor

Everyone honored Grandpa and Grandma.

Funny Kids!

The Norton boys

We had a nice family dinner on Sunday.  THANKS everyone for making the effort to come help us celebrate!!!!!

Then the moving resumed in earnestness.  We packed and cleaned and our friends helped and it was mostly done only because Grandpa and Grandma helped us to the bitter end!!!! THANK YOU!
And then we were off via the Wyoming route cause we were so heavy and because we had to get an extra 16 foot truck and you know both trucks were packed to the MAX!

Great send off sunset at the Wyoming border.

Welcome to Utah....again.

Doug at his new abode.

We've had so much fun living in Utah already!  The following are just pics of some of our fun.  I need to get better at capturing some pics!  We love the annual pass to Thanksgiving Point our realtor gave us.  It gets us and as many grandkids as we have with us in for FREE!

At the Dino museum at Thanksgiving Point

We had 8 grandkids here shortly after we moved in and we went to the Splash Pad that's just across the main road from our house.  It's amazing!
Emery loved it.

Trey thought it was delicious

Our three oldest Mermaids!

More adventures at the Farm Museum and Gardens and Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point
Carter kids on the ponys.

Trey and CharlyAnn flying high.

Brave Emery in the ropes course.

The craziest fish I've ever seen!

Sisters!

Cute Carter kids.

The hurricane wind booth.

We got to go to Texas and spend time with the Willis fam.  Did I take tons of pics.  Nope, just this one.  But it's a cute one!

We've also got to have a weekly date with Truman while Krista coaches 35+ crazy kids at cross country. He's such a good little guy!

Ally's gourmet pancake.

I made some applesauce from Jamie's apples. Yum!

Avid BYU fans at the Michigan game.  Not so bueno....
And that's the past couple months in a nutshell.  What have I learned?  I need to take more pictures!  And we really love living in Utah!

I have to blog something

But it's been so long and so much has happened!  Where to start???

So I'll start by being accountable.  Remember all the hair?  This is the box of hair at the Post Office being mailed away!!  I did it!

I'm stunned I'm actually getting this in the mail!

On July 16, we drove our first 26 foot truck packed to the max to our new home in Utah!

Then the very next day, because he knew we had severe time constraints, John Truman Hiatt made his debut!  He was perfect in every way.  We were lucky enough to see him when he was but a few hours old.

We were all so thankful Truman arrived safe and sound to his perfect little family.

And that is a good start to the next couple months....which will be blogged on in the near future!
