RENTED SPARTAN

Welp, we just got back from Rent-a-Spartan and Krista narrowly escaped disaster as she was almost rented by Matt Pritchard (the loser that rented Charina). Luckily she was rented by a Thespian named Olivia for $85 buckeroos. Olivia has already said she's going to dress Krista up maybe this is what she'll look like......

NEW CAR !!!

Today we picked up our new car. It is a 2006 Mazda Tribute with 16,006 miles on it. It has all the bells and whistles like heated leather seats, 6 cd changer, sunroof, etc just like Dad's old car. Dad was an expert shopper and got a great deal on this car. Here's what it looks like. Any suggestions for a name?

Vickanna modeling the new car. Our salesman Darwin, yup that's his name.

Krista was mesmerized by the Hummers.
You all are invited to come have a ride in the new wheels!

Who will rent this girl?

Who is this GIRL????

Why it's Krista of course!
And if you happen to be at Doherty High School this coming Wednesday you can rent her because she is a RENT A SPARTAN! After the great time Charina had with this event we can't wait to see the outcome for Krista.
PS-Summer is accepting donations to rent to her sister so as to spare her from utter destruction!

More Christmas 2007 Activities

One fun outing of this past break was going to the Denver Museum of Natural History and seeing a special traveling exhibit of the Titanic. It all started at Thanksgiving when we got hooked by CJ's book on the Titanic. Then we got several videos about the Titanic so we just HAD to go see it. It was very cool, but they wouldn't let us take any pics in the exhibit so you'll just have to take our word for it. It's amazing the stuff that survived not only the sinking but being under 2 1/2 miles of salt water for over 80 years. There was paper money, letters, wrappers, clothes, dishes, etc, etc. Truly AMAZING!!!

So here's a replica of the Titanic with a lovely volunteer telling us all about the ship as we stood in line to get into the exhibit. The reason I'm showing you this picture is cause she also answered questions from people. So Bill asked her if she was one of the survivors. Here was her reaction.....

She said, "Sir, that was 1912!" So he said, "you must have been pretty young." It's always a little dangerous but fun to take Bill out in public!!!

Our other outing was to Monarch to go skiing. It was the first time for Charina, Krista and Summer. After a few rough spots in the beginning cause their Mom took them too high too fast, everyone became a pro.

It was a gorgeous day and you could hear the words "this is the dumbest activity ever" ringing through the trees. But that only lasted for the first part of the day. By the end of the day Krista could have signed up for a ski racing team (just don't ask her to stop, it's not in her skill package) Summer was smooth as silk and Charina only hit one tree!

We completed our day with some really delicious Mexican food. These characters in really dorky hats joined us.

Christmas 2007

Thought we'd share some pictures of Christmas with you. Santa was very good to us!

CJ and Eric created a GREAT and truthful book!

Charina got a new bike with accessories (apron is optional)

Krista got some glasses made for murder!

Summer got an "Athletic Trainer" shirt

But our favorite gift you will only get to see previews of as we lost it until Charina's computer gets out of the repair shop. Let's just see who's in this movie....

There's Minnie and Auntie....

Daddy... and

an as yet unnamed surprise visitor!!!! You'll have to wait and see the great production in a future blog!

I forgot to mention that Bill also got from the Hardings the ultimate "Lord of the Dance" DVD

Do ya think he likes it?

Thanks EVERYONE for making Christmas special! To be continued....
