DOUG

A poem

My Shadow is gone.

He's always been at my side,
Constatly smiling,
Ready for adventure,
Eager to please.

Submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things...

Because the Son shines.
My Shadow will be at my side again.

A life well lived
We miss him.

We LOVE Fall!

This is a gorgeous fall.  The colors are spectacular, we've had a bounteous harvest and the weather.....ahhh!  If only it could hold for say, the next 6 months...

We'll start with Truman this week.  Notice how's he's always eating in every picture?  It's cause he's always eating!

I'm not as cool as Krista who actually canned her bounty.  I did freeze 18qt bags of these lovelies off our own tree!
I headed up the fall RS activity-Two Truths and A Tale.  Very fun!

Truman got to have company in the back of the car as we chased Aunt Jamie in her 100 mile WonderWoman bike ride.
She was tired at the end!

So was Trey!

Last Sunday we took Linde family pictures.  Jamie scouted out this great place in Little Cottonwood Canyon that is the quarry where they got the stones for the SLC temple.  It is cool!  Jamie can post pics, here are some funny ones.

Trey was ON ONE!  He was really into taking pictures but the whole time he was making action figure hands.  Whatev, he's a hoot!
Check out all the cool rocks!

Dad wanted a picture too, Jamie knew THE pose!

This followed right after....hahahahahaha

If you're taking pictures don't make the things you say TOO funny or you get this!

I like the "Don't mess with the Mom or MeeMaw" pic

And in sad news, just so you have some warning, it's been a hard week, Doug is not doing very well.

Some fun haps

We got to go with Krista and Truman to the Timpanogos Cave.  Dad and I have been hiking the 1.37mile trail up a couple times each week for a workout.  It is STEEP.  My fitbit says it's a 103 story climb!  We can do it in 30 minutes!  The last day for the caves to be open was Sept 5th so we wanted to go inside before it closed for the season.  We are sure glad we did cause they are spectacular!  So many formations of every kind.  We all liked it.

See the tiny cars?  And this isn't even from the top!

We got to have a fun Labor Day weekend with lots of peeps coming and going from our house.  The Carters and Als and Dans and Me went to Seven Peaks to celebrate Ram's 7th birthday.  Can you believe he's 7!!!

Emery the mermaid. No clue who the other peeps are.

My garden has been fruitful.  We've been enjoying the world's best cantalope for a couple weeks!

I spent much of last week making the bushes at the rental that are out of control....

Look more in control and tidy.

So for a reward on Friday, we went with Jamie and the kids to "This is the Place" park.  So fun and interesting and you can just imagine the fun Dad and Jamie had with "Is this the place?" ramblings.

You can see Trey boat racing in the stream in the background.  They had all sorts of fun things to do.

And last of all, Truman after a yummy spaghetti lunch, just because he is so dang cute!

Kinda looks like he's taking a selfie.
