A compassionate family

I thought I'd post this video and point out a few funny things about our family.

1. We like to play together--this is good!

2. We are very competitive and like to win!--this is purty good!

But you can always tell the depth of our compassion when an injury occurs. So watch the video again and observe....

1. By the echoing sound of the bonk something hollow was struck. Was that LaDon's head or the playground equipment? At least everyone pauses long enough to give a collective, OOOH!

2. The players never missed a beat in continuing the game....

3. Oh, except for Charina who was paralyzed with laughter!

4. A victory dance should always be performed prior to determining if an opponent is deh.

5. A wife finally comes to the aid of her husband only to burst out laughing!!

And so goes the compassion of the Roy, Linde, and Carter families!

Moral of the story--don't get hurt around us, or if you do make sure it's toward the end of the game or at least the end of the play or we just won't care!

OUCH!! Deer on the Door!!!!

Yesterday was Dad's "37th" birthday. It was a fine day except it certainly didn't start out that way. On the way to work while going 75 miles per hour on I-25 he hit a deer. The deer bounded out from the right side of the road right into the path of our beloved Mazda Tribute. One sad irony is we surprised Dad with that car on his "33rd" birthday. The best part is Dad is unscathed. The deer was in the lowest part of its bound and so just got splattered to smithereens instead of heading toward the windshield and Dad's ever active, smartest of smart brain and cutest of cute faces. They think the car is a total loss which is a pain but we're okay with that as it could have been SO much worse. We're just thankful all is well. Okay, the deer isn't thinking that right now... he is deh!

Right in the middle of this picture is a "souvenier" from the deer.

YUCK!!

Scene of the crime, that's Dad's car parts:(
The deer is nowhere to be found. He'd been deh for a while so it's okay with his family.

Thanksgiving Thankfulness

Our trip to Utah for Thanksgiving was filled with family, fun, and as usual far.....farther travel. Did you think I was going to write something else that always fills the air around the Roys? Like farm noises? Here's a few pics from our frolics.

The things we're most thankful for concerning this break:
..."We'd been dreaming of the perfect vacation!!!"...
...We all made it through without being dthea...
...Some of us were able to get some great studying done....
...The great little cushion-less couches and blow up mattresses we could sleep on...
...Nice reminisces of thinking poses and various other occasions....
...Being able to stuff our faces becasue of some great cooking!....
...Being tackled during Second Mouse gets the Cheese + golf football...
...Winning the Holy War...
...Seeing dad generously share his popcorn with the whole theater...
...Laying eggs, predicting the weather, being a skunk, and giving birth in hilarium...
...Watching BYU hang with UNC and eating frostys...
...Seeing Eric's seminary builiding of great stature....
...Becoming mostly experts on the Titanic....
...Searching for the Knight's Templar Treasure with Nicholas Cage...
... Viewing Robert Di Nero in perhaps one of his best roles....
....Being with the Hardings!...
...Singing to Micheal in Saigon Cafe...
.............
... And mostly....
Being with the whole happy and joyously hilarious, spontaneous, thriving, successful, loving, faithful family!
