Who GNU?

Finally I have retrieved the spring break pictures from Bill's laptop and so I'll share them as time permits. One day we visited the Bean Museum at BYU (it's free! and Grandbill and Viana's favorite) and discovered several of us shared scarily similar faces with our stuffed beastly friends.

Good News

We've been enjoying a bunch of good news as of late:

1. The Carter family now have a full time job as a Seminary teacher in Monroe, UT.

2. The expanding Linde family is having a _____. Bill doesn't want to know so I'll just give you a hint. The cute little baby is growing nicely and will arrive around July 28th.

3. Crazy Charina got the much desired summer job being a sports camp counselor AND got a great apartment with great roommates for next year near the Lindes AND campus!

4. Krista had a fun MORP date with Scott Bugg which included cooking breakfast for dinner, fingerpainting and a dessert contest.

5. Summer got passed off in record time for continuous taping of an ankle.
We are a thankful group!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma

Last Thursday was Grandma Edna Repp Norton March's 96th birthday. We enjoyed a lovely lunch out with Grandpa and Grandma Norton, Dale Norton and Bud and Barb Norton.

Be forewarned that longevity is in our lineage and you just might have a Mom that gets this old. I will be just as onery and sweet and smart and funny and wise and I'll love you all. Oh, I guess you've already noticed that's how I am!

I remember as a kid Grandma telling me she wished she'd waited one more day to be born then she would have been a leap baby and this year she would have only been 24 years old!! Cool! It was an honor to spend her birthday with her and appreciate her sharp mind, fast paced walk(that's where I get it) and quick wit. Wished you all could have been there!

What Good Friends are For

I've a Secret!

Taryn Smith has always been a great friend, not only to me, but our entire family. What a gem!

Isn't this just the girl you want keeping all of your deepest, darkest secrets?

Well, for a number of years now, she's been keeping one of mine so well, she didn't even know she was keeping it until she read this unopened and entirely serious note in one of her old church jackets.

On the outside it reads "Read after church and in Private Please. Thank you. Krista.

This is what it said on the inside:

Taryn,

I'm writing you this note becasue I need to tell you something rather than hide from you and make things more complicated. When you read it you're gonna think I'm the stupidest little geek but you're my friend and I don't know why but I want you to know that last night I shaved my legs. I didn't know the right way to do it but I did it and both my legs are half shaved cause I didn't know how to do the back. I feel like a geek. I don't even know why I decided to tell you that.. I guess it was because I was gonna shave someday so it might as well have been last night and I didn't wanna keep it from you becasue that's not what friendships about. Anyways, don't let anyone read this not especially not your mom because... I don't know why but just don't tell anyone because when you're friends you keep each other's secrets. Thank you for listening to my dumb geeky worries and Thank you for not telling.

Krista (Keep this in your possession, in other words don't stick it in your mom's purse)

Yes, yes indeed. Rest assured, Taryn kept it in her possession, kept it so dearly it was still taped up when she found it.

So the secret's out, Krista actually does shave her legs! (Gasp!) And now you know, if you've any secrets or suprises you want locked up nice and tight, give Taryn a call, and you can be sure no one will know for a long, long time!

Wook it, a new post!

My two new favorite words are spoken by the cutest two year old. They are "chocwate"and "wook it." There's nothing cuter, especially when the first word spoken to you upon arrival at the airport is Wook! and her shoe is kicked off and I get to see her newly painted toenails.

I had a great week of travels and visits but I must admit it was nice to get home and find my "bottom feeding" family in survival mode and praising my name.
Here's some highlights:

We finally got a five generation picture, ALL GIRLS, done. I had been the baby in the last five gen pic that was done. This time we had two babies. And we're looking forward to doing it again with Jamie/LaDon's baby! (Even though I'm told this baby better be a BOY)
We had a great drive, who knew it was stunningly gorgeous between Provo and Cottonwood AZ.
The girls were UNBELIEVABLE content car drivers. CJ and Eric were expert chauffeurs. And I was as non-whiny as possible.

We were filled with family, FOOD to the max and fun. Viana's favorite was going to the "Toy Park" and not having to wear a coat.

We had a great trip to Uncle Henry and Aunt Marilee's dream house. It is gorgeous and included MORE great food.

Upon our return to Utah we had a short but fun time with Charina, who was very glad to have her nieces back, and the Lindes, even Mom Linde who was there to meet her new grandson (LaDon's sister, Nicole's baby born Feb 16). LaDon and Jamie are excited for their internship this summer in Los Angeles. Looks like maybe we'll have a California born baby.

Thanks EVERYONE for an awesome trip!!!! I loved, loved, loved it.
PS-Thanks for all the comments on the last blog! I'm still laughing Eric!

So...I've been noticing.

I've noticed we don't get a whole lot of comments on our blogs. I suppose it is either:

A) We don't have very many friends.
B) We have boring blogs, it's hard to comment on boringness.
or
C) Have you ever noticed how the "code" of letters they have you type in always includes some of the most obscure letters on the keyboard. So the friends we do have are just poor typists.

Just noticing!
