Emergency and Confession

I forgot to put in our last post some pictures of our inflight emergency.  Of the hundreds of flights we've been on I've never been through the "brace, brace, head down, stay down" drill.  They had to wake us up to practice and it was all exciting enough but I'm glad I had an experienced pilot sitting next to me to let me know it would all be fine.  It was.

And now the confession:  Ya know all those times hair was grown out to the appropriate 11inches and chopped off so that it could be generously shared with those who had none?  Well, I always meant to get those in the mail and then once I read the hair couldn't be over a year old and still be acceptable so I thought, "dang".  While packing, Dad ran across my bag of "hairy indiscretions".  He said, "What on earth is this???"  I sheepishly grabed my now not so discreet brown paper bag and determined to see if indeed, I had missed the deadline by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin.  And I have not!!!  As long as it is a ponytail, the hair can be OLD.  So this very week, and you can hold me accountable, I am sending in this beastly wad of hersuitness.  

I'm not sure whose is who's, but good job peeps! And no, it does not spell anything, but I thought about it!

Another dump....

Sorry, it's the best I can do at this point in our crazy life! And right now I'm not happy with the picture uploader but oh well....here's some pics for noone to look at.

At the end of May all the Carter kids got to stay at our house.  It was SO MUCH FUN!!!

We went and climbed around the Garden of the Gods.

And Brooke LOVED licking the jello bowls clean at Grandpa and Grandma's house.

Next I headed to Texas for Joey's surgery which went off perfectly.  Dad couldn't make the flight but it worked out okay cause he got to go shooting with Joseph and he KNOCKed em dead.

This is the only pic I have of going to Nashville with Sum and Eliana to help with their move.  It was so fun to spend so much time with Eliana.  She is such a happy baby!  And so dang cute!  Bummer Andy got sick....but they got a great place to live.


And now to the packing....I have begun but there's oh so much to go....

I like the acceptability of doing a DUMP so that I can be caught up in sharing the haps with all of you.  So watch out below- I'M DUMPING!!!!!!


We started the month of April in Utah and we finished the month of April in Utah....hmmm, do I see a pattern here?

While Jamie and LaDon were frolicking in Australia Trey was sneaking up on me while I trimmed the apple trees. 

This boy will do ANYTHING for ice cream.

We got to watch Ally play soccer.  It was so FUNNY!!  But still not my favorite sport.

It was so fun to hang out with Eliana.  She is quite the character!

The highlight of the trip was SUMMER GRADUATING from BYU!!!!!!

We are now 10 for 10 of all our kids graduating from the Y.  Talk about your tithing dollars at work.  I must say the last was the best!  Way to go SUM!

After graduation was the Carter recital.

Emery is wearing a dress I made for CJ when she was a lil baby.

Then we had house buying adventures throughout the family.  First, Summer and Andy got a great apartment in Nashville.

Second, Billy and Krista got a magical house in the mountains.

Third, this popped into our realm of existence in a miraculous way.

Fourth, And this house comes with it too!

So four places of abode in one week!!!!  And even better, today the nicest people bought our house.

This may seem coincidental, but we know better than that.  And are ever grateful and excited for what's ahead!!
