Cheerio-Chap

Trafalgar square. Yup that's a ship in a bottle, and yes it was raining, it's LONDON.
But we did see the sun for a bit.

Big Ben, it IS BIG!

A ride down the Thames River.
This is at the Tower of London.  It's a fortress/castle place made in...1248!!!!!!
There are signs always reminding you to "mind" various things-your head, your step, the gap...
At the top of St Paul's Cathederal(they started this building in the 1600s)
And it took over 500 stairs to get to the top.  But the view was worth it!
We ran across this by Hyde Park.  It was a stainless steel art piece.  The English are indeed a quiet lot.  The subway has virtually no talking (unless it's very late and the people are very drunk).  So Summer and I were sticking out like true Americans as Summer was doing handstands for this picture.  It was great.
We enjoyed riding on the double decker buses, but it's easy to get freaked out by the traffic going on the opposite side of the street!  I could never drive there and keep my pants dry.
From the top of the Tower Bridge.  You can see the great blend of the old, old and the modern new in the skyline.  That dome just off center to the right is St Pauls that we climbed to the top of (Also home of the birdlady from Mary Poppins)
And since these pictures are in no particular order...we're ending with a lovely loo or WC.  There will be more to come when the rest of the pics get uploaded!

Please please tell me you didn't go to platform 9 and 3/4 without me. If you put a picture of you at Platform 9 and 3/4 and I am not in the picture, I will surely cry. BUT,

I am so jealous! that looks so fun! Besides dad pocket calling me about 8 times (one at 3:33AM mind you..) Sounds like it was GREAT!

I just said to Eric, 'will you check my families blog to see if they posted on London so I know if they got home safely or not?' And sure enough, there was the declaration of safe return in the opening sentence! It looks beautiful and great!!
